Discovering Costa Rica

PARADISES We decided to start our list of Paradises with my born country: Costa Rica.  🌴 Costa Rica, which means "Rich Coast" in Spanish, was named by Spanish explorers during the early 16th century. The name was inspired by the abundance of natural resources and the wealth of indigenous cultures they encountered. They believed the land was brimming with gold and other valuable resources, hence the name Costa Rica. Over time, the country has become known for its stunning natural beauty, rich biodiversity, and vibrant culture.  LOCATION 🗺️ Costa Rica is located in Central America, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Its geographic position places it between latitudes 8° and 11° north and longitudes 82° and 86° west. This strategic location gives Costa Rica a diverse range of ecosystems and a tropical climate.
